Point to It is a daily anatomy game. Where exactly is your liver? Your appendix? Your spleen? Each day there are 5 body parts to find: tap the spot on the body, and see how many centimeters off you were.
Most people are surprised: the stomach sits higher than they think, and the heart is only a little to the left. After every answer you learn a fact about that part of the body.
- How are the points calculated?
- We measure the distance from your pin to the edge of the organ, scaled to a person about 175 cm tall. Inside the organ is 100 points, and you lose about 6 points for every centimeter away, down to 0 at around 17 cm.
- Why is the right side on the left?
- Because the body is facing you, like a person standing in front of you, which is also how doctors and anatomy books show it. Their right hand is on your left.
- Are the organ positions exact?
- They are simplified shapes in the typical place for an adult. Real bodies vary a little, so the scoring is generous near the edges.
- Which body parts are included?
- Organs like the heart, liver, kidneys and appendix, glands like the thyroid and pituitary, and a few bones, including the smallest one in your body.
